Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the London Marathon on the 25th April 2010 in support of Camille's appeal.
I have been inspired to run for an incredibly brave little girl of just two years old who in June 2009 was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour (Intracranial Ependymoma). The location of the tumour is making surgery to remove it too dangerous an option. However in the meantime Camille’s has already endured 10 brain operations to release the pressure from the tumour as well as intense chemotherapy to reduce the tumour which will continue for at least, 12 months.
Throughout all this Camille continues to smile and how she gives strength to her Mummy and Daddy is truly amazing. They hope that the treatment she is receiving at Addenbrookes will be enough to cure her but if not then she may need to pay for specialist treatment abroad. Nevertheless Camille’s Appeal is not just about helping Camille but also providing support and rehabilitation for other children under 5 with this condition, which at the moment there is very little.
Having a daughter of the same age as Camille it just shows that it can happen to anyone. I cannot imagine the fear and anguish that Camille's Mummy and Daddy have been put through. Therefore I ask you to donate what you can to help two year old Camille and other children just like her to deal with this awful condition.
