We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am the senior sister on The Christie Clinic Chemotherapy and Out Patients Suite at the Christie Hospital, during the past four years I have been one of the nurses looking after Susan Welch. Susan and I share the same love for horses and anything equestrian and have chatted about this on her visits to the unit.

Recently my friend Nicola Davis and I have been taking part in SPEED Bridleways fun rides. SPEED were set up following a tragic accident on the road in Charlesworth and work with the local police and council to reopen the bridleways and improve the safety of all road users. Nicola and I thought that it would be a wonderful idea to organise a charity fun ride raising money for The Christie as both our lives have been touched by cancer in our close families.

We have had wonderful support from SPEED Bridleways, Goyt Mill Saddlery. Natural Animal Foods via Martin and Maria Cooper, Equest,  Mellor Parish Church,  Lever Brothers Weavabel and Charles Owen and Company. .

We have sixty horses and riders to ride across our wonderful countryside whatever the weather ! to raise money tor The Christie Hospital.
