The Grand Appeal fundraises to provide comforts and facilities for patients and their families whilst in Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital.

The NICU at St. Michael’s is a very special place which cares for more than 600 babies every year from Bristol and the South West of England and South Wales with the most serious and complex conditions. The Cots for Tots Appeal aims to raise £1 million to allow the Unit to treat more tiny newborns by providing 4 new intensive care cots and specialist medical equipment to provide around 1,500 extra bed days at the Unit. Depending on the length of stay, this will allow up to 150 more babies to be treated on the Unit each year with a dedicated Family Accommodation Suite close by so parents can stay close to their babies at such a difficult time.
