After several years of contemplating a fundraising challenge I have finally decided to bite the bullet and go for it with the Great Wall Cycle Challenge. In May I will cycle a total of 447km along the Great Wall of China over six days to raise money for the Child Bereavement Charity (CBC).

CBC provides specialised support, information and training to all those affected when a baby or child dies, or when a child is bereaved. The CBC is a largely voluntary organisation, and relies heavily on fund raising and donations to support the thousands of families every year who suffer the pain of a child's death, and also to help children whose parent or sibling is dying or has died. CBC leads the way in improving the quality of care offered by professionals to such families, both in the immediate crisis and in the time following the death of someone important in their lives.
