Thank you for logging on to my page. I am running the Manchester 10k on 16 May.

My charity is Building Hope, which was set up by a friend of mine, Veronique, after she visited Ethiopia with her work.She discovered a school in a terrible condition, and since then she has gone a long way in rebuilding it, to include a library and a block of toilets which they had never had previously ! We are now raising money to build houses for families suffering from leprosy. Yes I too thought that this was a disease relegated to the history books... but oh no it is unfortunately alive and kicking in many third world countries. Worse still people are still ostracized by their communities, even though it is now proven that cross contamination is prevented by simple hand washing ! If, however the family can afford their own house, then they are more readily accepted by the community... hence our efforts.
