Story
Back in August 2010 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent life saving treatment. It was after active treatment was over that I really felt the need of support and BCC was there for me - information leaflets, online forum, courses and advice... Now I am once again wanting to put something back, and setting myself the challenge of a 20 mile walk. Before cancer this would have been a breeze, now long term side effects mean it will be hard work - but I am looking forward to a day of love, laughter and fun (hopefully in the sun!) raising money to help BCC support others like me.
Here's one idea - nominate a track for me to add to my training playlist and sponsor me 1p per second. I'll then purchase and download the track and add it to my pink-ribbon-walk collection.
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I'm walking 20 miles in the Scone Palace, Perthshire Pink Ribbonwalk to fundraise for Breast Cancer Care. This will be no mean feat, but nowhere near as challenging as facing a breast cancer diagnosis. Breast Cancer Care's mission is to make sure that no-one has to face their breast cancer diagnosis alone. The money I raise will help to fund specialist clinical and emotional support to help thousands of people find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer.
Please donate what you can; your support will help me get round the route and will make a huge difference to people affected by breast cancer.
