The World Parrot Trust is a registered charity that funds
conservation work around the world and in its 30+ years it has helped the survival of 80 parrot species in 45 countries.

I was on a trip to Costa Rica a few years ago when I saw macaws
in the wild for the first time. Costa Rica has two endemic Macaw species, The Scarlet mainly on Pacific coast and the Great Green on the north Caribbean coast – macaws are often spotted feeding on Beach Almonds right on the beaches.
I met up with some of the coordinators of macaw conservation projects and soon started funding one of the programs.

To date, our funding has to date helped to plant corridors
of trees to link the fragmented forests, enable education in schools on the importance of conservation, and supported a Macaw breeding and release centre which is run by qualified staff and volunteers. It is because of projects like this one that parrot and macaw populations in Costa Rica and elsewhere are on the rise.

We are supporting the World Parrot Trust to ensure they can
continue to work to protect parrots in regions across the world through the restoration of habitat, protecting wild populations, fighting illegal wildlife trade and creating opportunities for awareness and education.

Thank you so much for your support.
