Story
How many times have you seen a homeless person looking no older than a teen, huddled beneath their torn sleeping bag and cardboard boxes, trying to shelter from a city night?
Centrepoint - the leading charity for homeless people aged 16-25 - holds an event every year to raise money and awarness so we can end youth homelessness.
Centrepoint's Sleep Out on Thursday 10 November 2011 brings our supporters a step closer to the reality of homelessness. We hope to raise £250,000 so we can continue supporting 1,200 homeless young people every year with accommodation, health services, education and employment, life skills and new opportunity.
From 7pm-7am, 650 'Sleepers' will be braving the cold and sleeping out in London's Exchange Square, near Liverpool Street Station.
But if you can't be there on the night, or you don't know another 'Sleeper', you can still help.
This Just Giving page is for anyone who wants to support Centrepoint and Sleep Out with a donation.
You can also text your donation to 70070 using the code CPSO11, so a £10 donation would be text as CPSO11 £10.
If you want to know why you should bother, then meet Amy and read her story.
Make a stand against youth homelessness and support Sleep Out.
