Story

Dad has been in Wythenshawe Hospital for four weeks now, spending time in both the Intensive Care and ECMO units, whilst he fights this awful virus.

The ECMO Service looks after critically ill patients who have suffered such severe heart/lung failure that a ventilator is not enough to keep them alive.

We are so incredibly lucky that Dad had access to this amazing specialist ECMO team who have literally saved his life, particularly as there are only 30 of these machines in the UK!!

We have no way to repay these brilliant doctors and nurses for saving Dad's life, but we can try to raise a little bit towards the c. £250K cost for his treatment.  Dad is not out of the woods yet; he still has a long way to go, so please give generously towards this amazing life saving team.
