Hi my name is Charlie Rees and I have tongue cancer. This month is mouth cancer awareness month, so I am asking you to LIKE my page, and #STICKOUTYOURTONGUE for mouth cancer by taking a selfie of you sticking out your tongue and donate to either of my nominated charities. I am fundraising for

Alarmingly mouth cancer is rising in the UK at such a rate that it has now entered the top 10 most occurring cancers, that's even ahead of cervical cancer!
So we might ask ourselves why don't we know about it?
Well, the truth is, we have taken our eye off the ball and it has crept up on us. That is not the worst of it... our dentists are missing it through lack of training on what to look for. We need to raise awareness of this type of cancer as early diagnosis is the only way to save lives.

Mouth Cancer – The Headlines you didn’t know
- Now entered the top 10 most occurring cancers, ahead of cervical cancer
- Up 60% over the last 10 years
- Dentists are misdiagnosing or missing it entirely
- 50% diagnosed over the last 3 years have never smoked in their lives
- Alarming unexplained increase in women under 50
- 90% of sufferers survive if caught early
- Prognosis drops significantly to under 50% if it moves into stage 3
- Only 30% caught early enough
