Story

YIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

We did it! Crikey it was a very cold start! Radio Berkshire stopped us for an interview live on air and we were dubbed the Maidenhead mothers! By 6 miles Sally and I realised that our Ipods that we had been training with for pace and distance were sadly about a mile out!!! 7 miles was spent along a dual carriageway up hill and in rain and wind! not the best miles! We had our own fan club Jamie and kids popping up just after that with big cheers and more importantly jelly babies ( Nerys was less than happy to release any mind!! ) Then at the finish to our friend Fiona with her family and my folks were a very welcome sight and there were hugs tears and in my case messy mascara!! We finished in 1 hour 52 mins, and very proud if a little stiff we are too!

Thank you all again those whose have sponsored and supported us!!

xx Charlotte, Sally and Rachael.

Hello all,

I am running my first ever half marathon on the 09th May in , mainly as a personal accomplishment before I hit 40 in a few months! I have had a charity close to my heart since my dearest friend Claire's first child Louis, was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive form of cancer, Neuroblastoma. It was the most unbelievable, horrific news. You can never prepare yourself for the shock and the desperation and hopelessness you feel for you friends. However Claire, Hassan and of course Louis were always fiercely strong and determined and despite a year of chemo and the longest operations, Louis remains happy and smiling. That lust for life is inspiring. I would like to try and raise as much as possible for a society that supported Claire, Hassan and Louis throughout and still to this day.

Please do consider sponsoring this old dear, to do a fool hardy thing but for an incredible charity who took care of an incredible boy.

xx charlotte

Of COURSE my text was going to be in pink!
