Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I have decided to take the plunge and jump out of a plane for charity!  I am totally terrified, but really fired up to do this because it is a really good cause and has helped children I know in the past.  I need to raise £450 to do this jump and that money funds the hospice for the care of one child for a day.  With the support of my wonderful friends and family, I am determind to raise more than this so I can help more than one child.  My target is £1000, but I am going to keep fundraising until the scary day arrives (Sunday 6th June).

Acorns Children's Hospice offers a network of care to life limited children, children who will not reach adulthood.  The hospices are used for nursing care, short breaks and emergency and end of life care.  A comfortable home from home for a child.  Acorns currently cares for 600 children and their families and needs £6 million per year to fund this current service.  As I have already mentioned, care for one child a day is £450.  There is no charge for the families for this help, but this does mean the hospice relies very much on fundraising.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
