Story
Jerome and I are running The Chevin Chase on Boxing Day for The Not Forgotten Association.
The Not Forgotten Association is a unique national charity which provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for the serving wounded and ex-service men and women with disabilities. They do this through a wide and varied programme of activities including outings, concerts, holidays and events.
Each year they help and support approximately 10,000 individuals of all ages, whenever and wherever they served, whose lives have been affected by conflict or by subsequent injury.
Jerome was in the marines for 14 years before being medically discharged in 2011 after an injury. Jerome became familiar with the charity after being introduced to Rosie, a member of the association, after his discharge last year. Jerome's first outing with the charity was a canoeing trip to France for amputees who have lost limbs due to injuries sustained in war. It was here he realised how important the charities work is by funding trips such as this, to help ex-service men and women do things they never thought possible.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Please dig deep for this worthy cause.
Thank you
