Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just-giving page, where every donation made to Children With Cancer will make a real difference.
I’ll be running as part of the One BIG Effort Team for the home stretch that is the London Marathon. This will be extremely difficult for me to fight the urge to get on the tube instead of run, or hail a black cab. Again, if I see a nice shop on the way, or pub, this could again really test me psychologically.
I’m hoping that power-eating large quantities of ferrero rochers, trays full of Cheese, and Christmas-tree-shaped crisps will really give me that extra boost of motivation and energy reserves needed to carry on training in the cold winter months. Being able to fit into my spray-on Nike leggings in January will hopefully give me a confidence boost, and really spur me on to keep on training - they’ve got an elasticated waist, which could be my New Year Saviour.
I’ve been training most mornings since the half Marathon for Children with Cancer in October - by running outside, or on the treadmill listening to Grimmy.
I quite like running outside, though this also holds its own perils depending on what time of day you go.
Donating through just giving is safe and secure – I’m writing this mainly for my Grandparents, as they are scared of the internet and its mystical powers.
