I have set myself a personal challenge to raise £3,000 for St.Catherine's Hospice over the next 18 months. With the kind help of my family, my aim is to raise these funds by taking part in various events including car boot sales, cookie sales, raffles etc.  The Santa Run is my first "physical" event.....dressed as the great man himself..... Ultimately my final aim will be to take part in the challenge (!!) of walking the Great Wall of China....

St Catherine's Hospice provides respite, pain management and end of life care, at the hospice and in the community,  covering large parts of Sussex and Surrey. As a charity, the hospice reply almost entirely on the support of local people, companies and trusts, with just 16 per cent of their running costs provided by the NHS. Each year they need to raise £4.8 million in voluntary income to ensure that they can keep providing these vital services to those who need them.
