In 2016, a client introduced me to Street Child. I had been waiting years for the opportunity to use my work to help make a difference to others, but upon my meeting with Ellen and Mark, it was clear the work they were doing was very focussed, structured and with the clear aim of helping Sierra Leone recover not only from  devastating civil war but also an Ebola epidemic which has ravaged parts of the country economically and psychologically. Street Child works with some of the most vulnerable in Sierra Leone: children and women. It has clear paths to help them emerge from the cycle of poverty and stand proudly on their own two feet, sometimes after experiences which are almost unbearable to hear. Their work is inspiring, and my visit to Makeni and seeing the work they did and photographing the spectacular marathon completely convinced me that this was a cause I could put my heart into. Please help make the lives of others better: there is no better use of our time and the abundance we have been blessed with. Thank you.
