Story

Hello,

As you will be aware, at the beginning of 2020 my dad was diagnosed with double-hit lymphoma.

Unfortunately, despite a brave fight we lost him in March.

I am hoping to raise as much money as I possibly can for Ward 34, Ninewells, Comfort Fund. Something that I know was very close to my dads heart and I know that kept him going during the most challenging of time’s. The fund enables the ward to purchase things patients may need for their stay in hospital to make it as good as it possibly can be.

As well as my half marathon I am also hoping to arrange a charity football match at Laing Park between FC Boukir and YM Over 35’s, and a quiz night at Forgans of Broughty.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank: all of my friends and family who have supported my mum and I during this very difficult time, the renal ward, Ninewells and Carnoustie Medical Group, Carnoustie Panmure for allowing us to use Laing Park, Andy Thomson for allowing us to use Forgans and last but not least Ward 34. You kept my dad going.
