Story

The Corrieyairack Challenge, or “ Corrie” as it is fondly known, is the Speyside Trust’s biggest annual fundraising Event. From humble beginnings in 1993, the Corrie has grown from 110 competitors to a maximum of 500 and has raised over £700,000 for the Badaguish charity.

The team from Petro-Canada (Stuart, Steve, Ian, Alasdair and Charlie) will be completing this challenge on 3rd July, with Christianne and Laura stewarding. The event consists of a gruelling 17-mile hill section over the historic Corrieyairack Pass, Scotland’s highest mountain road (2350 ft).  This is followed by a 26-mile undulating cycle through Laggan, Newtonmore and Kingussie, before finishing in Kincarig at the annual Village Fete.

So please dig deep and donate now help fund the running of the respite care centre facilities, based at Badaguish and purchasing specialist equipment – ranging from specially adapted minibuses, side by side bikes and other specialist sports and activity equipment.
