Story

Ok, so the low down is, My Dad has been amazing ever since we lost James, he not only looks after Mom full time and not to mention me and the rest of our family.  He's been strong and always there whenever myself, my grandparents, and aunts needed him.  He's been selfless throughout and had to deal not only with losing his amazing, fun loving Son, but he's become the only Man left in his immediate family when my Grandfather died in 2008 and then he lost his lovely Mother in 2009.  And well, throughout all this and much more he's remained his kind and unselfish self and given all he has to everyone who demands his help and time.

He has helped Glen and myself so much with moving in to our new home and of course, he's been there for me for my whole life...now it's time for him to do something he's always wanted to do, and this is my thank you for him.

We've booked a Skydive, but not just any skydive, I wanted to keep it close to the family and in the name of James of course and something he'd love to do...We are going to do it, sorry Dad is going to do it for Ataxia UK and of course in James' memory.

James did his first skydive in Cairns, Australia in 2004 on Mission Beach with his girlfriend Katriona.  Then his daughter (moi!) followed in James and Kat's footprints by jumping at the same beach is Aus in 2008.  Unfortunately we can't send Dad to Aus, (money and Mom's hatred of flying just won't allow!!) but Cornwall will be the next best thing as I am sure you are all aware of the special place that our family holds dear.

Ataxia UK is the national charity for the disease that my Mom and some of her family members have suffered with. Ataxia means 'Lack of order' and people with it have problems with speech, balance and movement.  Over 10,000 people in the UK have a form of Ataxia and there is currently no cure, however the charity are working hard each day to find one.

I hope you can all spare just a few pounds to help me raise the target needed to get Dad dragged out of a plane at something like 10,000 feet strapped to an adrenaline junky just like James no doubt!!! I'm sure he would have loved the job of being a sky dive instructor/jumper! So please donate now and pass this on to anyone who knows me, my parents or James!

Lots of love Christie x
