Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 3rd September 2008 we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Charlotte. Unfortunately at my 20 week scan Charlotte had been diagnosed with the heart condition HLHS meaning that she would need extensive surgery shortly after birth.
On 4th September 2008 we were told the earth shattering news that they had discovered other complications and our baby girls condition was deteriorating. We were given the chance to remove all of the tubes and equipment and hold her in our arms until she peacefully left us.
This year Charlotte would have been 10! A milestone! We celebrated her birthday by making new ornaments for her grave and visiting her as a family. Myself and Adam decided that to celebrate her birthday we would take part along with my niece Helen in the Highclere 10k one km for each year of life she has missed.
We will be raising funds for a baby memorial garden within Thatcham cemetery. This space will give other bereaved families a quiet and reflective plave to remember their babies and find a sense of tranquility amongst a stormy time. Somewhere to commemorate their milestones.
Any donation will help make this project a reality! Many thanks for your support.
Love Christina, Adam and Helen. Xx
