My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 14 to 17 june 2012, i will be taking part in the Football League Arch to Arc bike ride raising money for the Help the Hospices. We will be cycling from Wembley Stadium to the Arc de Triomphe, covering some 245 miles over 3 days.
I'll give you a moment to get over the shock for those of you who know me!!
While initally the motivation for the ride was to challange myself and in so doing raise money for charity, it was with great sadness that i was informed by one of my best friends Natasha that her mother had passed away after a long battle with cancer. Victoria was a wonderful lady and her family have kindly let me honour her memory by dedicating this ride to her.
The family have also informed me of the wonderful help the hospices were in the last few weeks of her illness. So anything you can donate will be greatly appriciated and will go towards helping provide invaluable care for the terminally or long term ill.

Well I did it, 260+ miles and 3 days after leaving Wembley we all arrived at the arc de Triomphe. Sore legs but high spirits. An amazing and gruelling experience but well worth it to support help the hospices. If you haven't had the chance you still have plenty of time to donate.
Well it's only a week to go and the excitement and nerves are starting to kick in. Just a quick update on the route as it has changed Day 1:- London to Portsmouth 95 miles Day 2:- Caen to Bernay 59 miles Day 3:- Bernay to Paris 102 miles Any donations are going to a great cause
I've posted some new photos to show you how my first clipped in pedal session went. As an incentive to get to £500 sponsorship when I pass it I'll post the ones of me falling off!!

The majority of hospice care in the UK is provided by our member hospices. Care is given free of charge to the patient and their friends and family.
