We support disadvantaged 11-30 year olds to get their lives on track.

Story

Having done several serious challenges in my time, with always the correct preparation, I thought I would try an unknown quantity, something that with limited time available to train properly, would be the ultimate challenge for me.  In under 2 months (19th June 2010) I will attempt to swim the distance of the English Channel at the shortest crossing point (Dover to Calais), that is approximately 21 miles (18 nautical miles) or to put this into perspective 1400 lengths of a standard 25m swimming pool. My aim is to attempt to crack 14 hours non stop.   I shall be doing this at Goldestones 25m swimming Pool in Yeovil.  The real motivator for me is to help change young lives, by putting myself through some serious discomfort. Please give generously to the cause, as this this will spur me on in my training and ultimately achieving my goal.

Many thanks again,

Chris  aka - Dennis The Menace.
