Police Community Support Officer Chris Hamer will be walking & cycling 1030 miles on his beat in 2014. This is equivalent to travelling from Rossendale to Bocholt in Germany and back. The majority of these miles will be covered during lunch breaks.

"I've decided to raise money for Rossendale Hospice as they provide much needed care for residents in the borough who are suffering from cancer and other degenerative deseases. The hospice also offers support for carers in the community."
