We are participating in the Bupa Great North Run on Sun 18th September to raise money for "The Christopher Tickle Fund".
As many are aware, Christopher Tickle was our deeply loved cousin who tragically died, aged 23 years, after sustaining very serious neck injuries when a scrum collapsed whilst he was playing rugby.
Christopher's death has left a permanent void in our lives but his legacy has been to inspire others to raise funds in his name through "The Christopher Tickle Fund", channeling monies raised to The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation which is funding encouraging research into cures for spinal injuries, giving hope for the future to those who survive such catastrophic injuries.
We are very grateful for all those who contributed earlier in the year towards "The Christopher Tickle Fund". We successfully met (and indeed exceeded) our target. With your help we hope to be equally successful this time
The run is 13.1 miles (half a marathon) and we will try our best but any donations to "The Christopher Tickle Fund" would really be appreciated and keep us motivated during our training and the run itself!
Many Thanks,
David, Katy and Anne.
