For over 28 years we have invested our resources in a major charitable effort called The Catenian Bursary Fund which was created specifically to “Help young Catholics to Help Others”. We do that by offering financial grants, awards, (we call them bursaries), to young Catholics from all over the world who wish to engage in some voluntary project that must aim to help others. The young Catholic need not have had any connection with the Catenian Association, indeed, today we frequently receive requests for support from young Catholics who live in countries where the Catenian Association is not even present. Typically, but not exclusively, this might be a “gap year” project undertaken either before or after University or higher education, or perhaps in a gap in employment, and the Projects we financially support can be anything from a minimum of 10 working days to over a year in duration.
