Story

I am the original Mad Hatter lol !!  I think I must be..Myself and some of my lovely friends at the MC Breakout group on facebook, on behalf of the Miscarriage Association, are baring all for a nude calendar (with some very classy strategically placed props) to raise money to help others going through the trauma of miscarriage. I'm one of the 4 Miss July Girls!

I've lost 4 babies.  My first, Alex was back in November 1993, I was 25 and already had 2 children.  I was scared and didn't know what was happening to me.  There was noone then to help me understand what had happened...

When I lost my other 3, Toni in May 2008, CJ in January 2009 and Hope in September 2009, they happened 8 months after each other (3 in 16 months!) I'd already had 3 more children! So why may you ask am I doing this?...I have children!!! Yes I do, I have 10!!! 6 here on Earth and 4 in Heaven xxxx

By the time I lost my fourth baby, whose heart we saw beating at 7 weeks and stopped at around 8 weeks, I was about to give up.  We were fortunate tho, our baby was tested to see why.

The reason was that I am a carrier of Roberstonian Translocation (Patau's or Trisomy 13/14) LOOK IT UP! It affects 1 in 1500 when trying for a baby.  It was thanks to the MA literature that was sent to me that we found out there was a reason why I lost my babies and thanks to the ladies who I bare my soul each day to on the Miscarriage Association facebook group that we are coming to terms with it.

I would never have found the courage to carry on trying for another without their support and although McBreakout is quite recent and weren't there for me at the time it happenned to me, they certainly are now! Helping each and every family that has experienced a loss that it is ok to cry, feel sad, hurt like hell and then some...!! but also that it is ok to smile and laugh til your sides hurt because you are HUMAN and what you're going through is a grieving process that only someone in this situation can understand.  Surely that's a good thing!

Ok ...now I've bared my soul to you and next year in July you'll see me baring my flesh ;) so get your phone out or click donate and give me a little of yourself and please feel free to share.  It's not contagious ... it's life!

Please support me in this and donate what you can - no amount is too small ! Text JULY68 £(and the amount you want to donate) to 70070.
