Story
Hi All - just to update you....
I just wanted to thank all of you who have sponsored me so far & to remind those of you who haven't yet visited my just giving page @ http://www.justgiving.com/Claire-Marie-Anscombe that I have less than 10 days to go before I run 26 miles, in Brighton, to raise money for children with Cerebral Palsy.
Training has been going well! I have managed to hit the 20 mile mark so fingers crossed I can pull off the remaining 6-miles going down wind into Madeira Drive- The finishing line!
I have finally found what I hope to be the right trainers as well! After struggling, with bad foot ache, to complete the last mile of the Fleet Half Marathon, I decided that I needed to re-invest in some new footwear!
So far, so good! It also helps that they are pompey blue in colour. We might be bottom of the premiership but that doesn't mean I want to be limbering over the finish line in my pompey blue trainers!
I have been further motivated by the Dame Vera Lyn Trust. I visited the school last week & got to see where all the money I am raising is been spent. The school is an incredible place and has encouraged me further to do all I can to raise further funds.
As well as visiting the school, I also received my 'fabulous' luminous green running vest, to wear on race day. I definitely won't be able to hide! The words 'POMPEY' have been printed on the front. Although i'm not sure how motivating this will be... I keep hearing people shouting 'Going down, going down, going down...' but then again it could be worse, I could be a Southampton fan!
Anyway, enough of my jabbering. . I have training to be getting on with!
I hope you all have a good weekend & if you haven't yet sponsored me & would still like to do so please visit my just giving page @ http://www.justgiving.com/Claire-Marie-Anscombe
Many Thanks,
Claire-Marie :)
