Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! Thought I'd better write my own little piece rather than leaving it with the standard text now that I've had my first couple of sponsors!

Now you are highly likely to be sat there thinking 'Is she mad or what?' Most of you will know the answer to that already but just to confirm, yes... yes I am mad. I have (stupidly) registered to do a 100km (62 mile) bike ride in May 2014. The last time I got on my bike was a good few years ago, and the thought of riding 100km is quite worrying... BUT my lack of thinking things through got me here and so I will do it... I've got a whole 7 and a half months to train so I better get my arse into gear!

The good news is if I start something, I like to finish it, so as long as I manage to get up to Windsor on the night, then I'll meet you at the finish line no matter how long it takes me!

Anyway, enough from me... I have some anti chafing cream to apply... Thanks to you all in advance, I will keep you posted...

Lots of love, Claire xxx

About the charity

Women v Cancer is a series of Women only cycle challenges in aid of three British charities – Breast Cancer Care, (RCN:1017658), Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust (RCN:113354/SCO41236) and Ovarian Cancer Action (RCN:1109743) – raising vital funds to fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers. The donations you make to Women v Cancer will be distributed equally between them. The cycle challenges are organised and managed by Dream Challenges – www.dream-challenges.com. Women v Cancer is established under GivingWorks, a charitable trust registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and under number 1078770. The funds raised here are restricted to use for the Women v Cancer purpose and will not be used by GivingWorks for any other purpose or as part of GivingWorks’ general unrestricted funds.
