We care for patients and support families to help patients lead a fulfilling life

Story

Dear All,

Keech Hospice Care supports children in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes and adults in Luton and South Bedfordshire, who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. The hospice offers help and support to the whole family throughout the patients' illness and thereafter.

I know of many families including my own that have suffered the loss of a loved one – friend or relative – through terminal illness and have been touched by the fabulous support and care given from this hospice service.  They do a fantastic job and do their best to make the patients’ last few days, weeks and months as comfortable as possible. This service is free, less than 25% of funding is from statutory sources and therefore relies heavily on the community to help raise essential funds to keep it functioning.

I will be taking part in the Keech Hospice Care Skydive on the 16th May 2010, so please, please put your hand in your pocket and make a donation to this amazing charity and make a special difference.

Just to realise that I have contributed to making a difference to someone else’s final life journey – adult or child – and their families lives will overcome my fear of heights and will help me achieve the challenge of jumping 10,000 feet out of that plane!

Any donation you make will help me make that difference and ultimately you will make a difference too!

Claire
