The hospital I work at is raising money for a new neonatal unit.  I count myself incredibly lucky not to have needed their services around the time that Angus arrived. He is healthy, happy little boy. I hope to make him proud of his Mum.

Last October I ran the Birmingham Half Marathon to raise money (never again\!) So  seeing as I am not willing to up my mileage in order to increase the number of donations I decided that this time around I needed to do something a little more than just running to persuade you to part with your cash. As a result on the 27^th March I shall be taking part in my first ever duathlon: 2.5km run – 20km cycle – 5km ride at the NEC. I am fairly confident that I could manage each part on its own but am less sure about stringing them all together, plus I have never before competed on a bike. You may well remember that I am not exactly someone you might describe as naturally athletic. This does take a fair amount of effort (and pain) on my part, so please did deep and hand over your cash for a very worthy cause.
