For "Cancer Research"
As many of you will know, we lost our wonderful dad to lung cancer last year, he
was a great inspirtaion to me, full of wonderful stories, told with a cheeky grin!
In his memory and the memory of his newest friend, who sadly past away earlier
this year and to a Irish lass with a wicked sense of humour, who is always in my thoughts,
I'm plunging into the icey British waters, in a very stylish wetsuit and hope you can spare
a little of your hard earned cash for this fantastic charity. Thank you for all your advice
about keeping my extremities warm, some I will not be trying!!! Just a quick update,
getting to grips with swimming in a wet suit, hurray!
Its the Monday after the swim, thank you so much everyone who supported me I really
couldnt have done it without all your words of encouragement, love and laughs! A special thanks
has to go to my family, who have put up with me and my moods! Especially Vicky (feed me mind and body)
Lisa (who has kept me thinking positively a very hard job!) Jen (helper, destresser and cheerleader!) Michael
(for putting up with my impatience!)
What a beautiful sight I made in my wetsuit and neon red swim hat!!! I have learnt what "Blowing a wholley"
means in Ipswich and hope it doesnt follow me to London! I completed the swim in 31 minutes and 40seconds
only 2 weeks till the next time!
Thank you all once again keep safe and have fun Clare x
