I am heading over the pond to compete in the Syracuse (New York) Ironman 70.3 on Sunday 19th September. The event is made up of a 1.2 mile open water swim, 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run.

I'm aiming to finish in under 6 hours and to still have the energy to celebrate my 30th birthday the following day!

I've chosen to use this as an opportunity to raise money for Kidscan. They're a really fantastic Manchester based charity committed to the research into and improvement of cures for children with Cancer. I spent some time working with them whilst at Uni and was impressed with their absolute dedication, hard work and kindness.
