We help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them

Story

My name is Colin McCusker. I'm currently the Deputy Mayor of Craigavon Borough Council. My wife, Anne-Louise, and I are taking part in the 26 mile Causeway Coast Marathon walk on Saturday 28th September 2013. We are raising funds for CLIC Sargent (NI), Home from Home appeal, the children and young peoples cancer charity.

Research tells us that on average, families travel an average of 500 miles a week to access the cancer treatment their child needs. This is a huge financial and emotional strain at an already stressful time. CLIC Sargent aim to ease this burden by providing free, self-catering accommodation close to the two main Belfast Hospitals for families to avail of when their child is undergoing treatment for cancer.

All funds raised by my wife and I at this event will go towards the Homes from Home Appeal.  This will help Northern Ireland families deal with the stress of cancer.

Your support is greatly appreciated!
