This charity is very dear to both of us. Wendy wouldn't be here today without the skill care and attention of Neil Kitchen and his brilliant team who saved her life by removing every last trace of the huge tumour that took over half her brain. 4 years later almost to the day of diagnosis of the tumour, Colin and Wendy are getting married. Not a single side effect exists from the tumour and it is unlikely ever to return. So many people aren't as lucky as Wendy as brain tumours kill many and leave others with severe disabilities. Neil Kitchen, when asking Wendy to sign the consent form for the Operation, said "there are too many possible outcomes to name but stroke, blindness, loss of speech, loss of movement and, of course, death are all the obvious ones but, 'scuse the pun Wendy, its a "no-brainer" because without this op,. you will die!!"  Anyway enough of that, its all in the past but its worth remembering as this wedding would never take place without these dedicated people and Sophie and Peter would be without a mum. This charity raises money for research into brain tumours (and many other neurological conditions) and provides equipment for the hospital to help surgeons like Neil Kitchen continue to save lives.
