Update:  Well I completed the Gt Bentley Half Marathon a little under my target time of 1:45 - coming in at 1:42:43 and a heady 11 minutes off my previous best.  Now just 4 weeks left to the Brentwood Half and I need to better this time to get under my target of 1:40.  I have nearly raised 50% of my total but need you guys to keep on donating.  So dig deep (I had to to get over that railway bridge in the last mile)!!

In February and March I (Colm Scolard) am running two half-marathons .... yes that's right - not one 21km race, but two!   I will be running the Great Bentley Half Marathon on February 7^th and the Brentwood Half Marathon on March 21^st.

In doing so I am hoping to raise some money for Cancer Research.  Cancer Research is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Their groundbreaking work has helped to save millions of lives and they continue to fund leading research in order to achieve their vision of beating cancer. 

Most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer in some form or other, so we know how worthwhile this cause is.  Please take the time to make a small (or even better, a BIG) donation and I will do my damndest to run these races in a reasonable time (I’m targeting a time of 1:45 for Gt Bentley and sub 1:40 for ).

Donating through JustGiving is simple and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.  B ut you don't have to be from the UK to donate - so no excuses from all my international friends, or all them back in the auld country.....
