Story
The Corporate Dynamos are a group of colleagues that work for RBS in London. We have undertaken a number of cycle rides in aid of charity and in the three years we have been together have raised over £30,000 for The Prince's Trust, Lymphoma and Leukaemia Research and Pancreatic Cancer Action. Over half of the money we have raised was in 2011 for Pancreatic Cancer Action following pancreatic cancer diagnosis for one of our dear colleagues, Wendy Butler. Wendy was diagnosed in February 2011 and initially given only weeks to live. Wendy defied all the odds and managed another year; Wendy was always an inspiration to us, and even more so during the last year of her life. This year, 2012, we are riding again to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action. Our route will see us cover 170 miles, starting in Battle and riding to London via Worthing and Guildford between 11 - 13 May. Last year we raised over £18,000 and it would be lovely to think we could beat that this year. Please give generously!
UPDATE POST THE RIDE! So, we completed a total of 166 miles, leaving Battle at 09:00 on 11 May and arriving in The Mall, Central London at 13:00 on 13 May. After the miles and the hills, there were some weary faces, all proud to have made it though! We are pleased with the amount of money raised for PCA although someway short of our target. If you haven't donated and would like to, please give generously.
