Story
Charity is very close to our heart at Cosatto, and we have supported the Children's Hospice UK for years. Being parents ourselves, and living and breathing baby products, children are our lives! And we know they are your life too! So we would love your support as we watch our poor old boss, Andrew Kluge (CEO of Cosatto) hang up his posh brogues for a couple of days and dig out those good ole faithful trainers (that will probably need a good dusting off!) We wish him lots of luck as he cycles 90 miles from Oxford to Eltham on the BIG BOSS BIKE RIDE (he hasn't even cycled more than 20 yards in his life- Yikes!)
As if it wasn't enough Andrew getting onto a bike Cosatto are going to match the amount of money raised for the charity, so the children will receive TWICE as much!! These children need our help and we're asking if you could kindly donate - even the smallest donations are welcome!
The Big Boss Bike Ride is a fantastic event taking place during Children’s Hospice Week (15-22 May). The two day cycle ride (21-22 May) is an exciting challenge seeing Big Bosses from companies working with Children’s Hospices UK cycle nearly 90 miles from the first children’s hospice to the newest.
Barbara Gelb, CEO of Children’s Hospices UK is leading the team in the two day challenge, packed with fun and adventure. The trip begins at Helen & Douglas House in Oxford and the final destination is Demelza South East London in Eltham, the newest children’s hospice, where the team will celebrate in style with a well earned glass of champagne.
As supporters of Children’s Hospices UK, Vicky Morley (Creative Director) and Emma Porcelli (PR & Marketing Assistant) visited one of the Children’s hospices in Walsall and were completely overwhelmed by what an amazing job the Charity do. They were shocked at the statistics and figures; on average 17.6% of England's children's hospices' costs are funded by the government. Of this 11.7%, is emergency funding given directly by the DH (running out in 2011) with the remainder coming locally from PCTs. These children rely on the Hospice to give them a brighter life when their days are limited, and what a good feeling knowing we can all help :-)
So please dig deep!
