Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my first ever JustGiving page!

Please note - I am raising funds for THREE beneficiaries - see below...

On Tuesday 5th March 2013 I had a game for my club Brighton & Hove Albion away to Bristol City which would result in the 46th minute of the game to give me the worst injury I have suffered in my footballing career to date. I ruptured my Achilles and was told by the doc that I would be out of the game for a few months. Although I was gutted at the outcome, I accepted the injury quickly and was able to get the best medical care & support which is helping me on my road to recovery.

So far, the short time away that I have spent from the beautiful game has helped me realise and appreciate that I am still able to go back and do what I love and I will be a stronger and better person and player.

Whilst I have the time away from football to recover from my injury I have been able to concentrate on many different projects, some of which have really pushed me out of my comfort zone!

For this particular challenge, I will be attending this years Hat-Trick Events Charity Golf Day on Wednesday 17th April at East Sussex National, Uckfield. I have agreed to have my amazing long hair (that everyone takes the mickey out of me for) shaved at their event!

My aim in doing this challenge is to help raise funds and awareness towards the 2013 charity golf day for Hat-Trick Events. They have selected THREE fantastic beneficiaries which are Rockinghorse Childrens Charity, Albion In The Community and Charlie Oatway Testimonial Fund.
