What is Endo? Endometriosis is a disease in which abnormal tissue grows in the abdomen and other places in the body. It causes internal bleeding, inflammation, scarring, severe pain and fatigue, and sometimes infertility. It cannot be cured, and gets worse over time. Treatment methods used are pain medication, hormones and surgery. Through associations like the National Endometriosis Society, women are beginning to understand that they are not alone in their pain and suffering. Medical research is necessary as scientists are still unsure about what causes Endometriosis! Women need to understand this perplexing disease and be able to end all the myths, pain, and frustrations that are apparent in it's diagnosis. http://www.endo.org.uk/
