At Crown Vets, we are passionate about fundraising for a wide variety of animal charities, many of them local to us. This time we want to help the humans and fundraise to purchase three public, fully automatic defibrillators. They will be mounted externally on all three of our practices therefore accessible to our clients and the general public should they be needed.

Less than one in ten people in the UK survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest. If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, their chances of survival increases from 6% to 74%. Dealing with a range of people in upsetting and stressful situations, we would like to know that we are able to offer the very best care in the unfortunate event of an attack.

There are not enough publicly available defibrillators in Inverness and we would massively appreciate any donation made towards our lifesaving cause.
