We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

We are the Culcheth Walking Football Club for the over 50s, a group of people from Culcheth, Croft and Birchwood who want to put our hobby to good use.

We formed the group two years ago and with the help of our manager, Dennis Sutherland and LiveWire we play regularly on Tuesday evenings at Culcheth High School.

We are all working so can’t join any daytime leagues, we can only participate in tournaments.

We thought why not organise our own!?  And with that came the idea to add more meaning to it by dedicating our hobby to a very worthy cause.

The Culcheth Cup, raising money for prostate cancer, will take place on Saturday, March 23 at 11am at Culcheth High School.

Every donation, no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated. Everyone is welcome to come along and support us on the day!
