Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

The Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre has been giving short breaks to children from the county for 122 years. The centre relies solely on donations which people generously provide. But it now needs a new £30,000 minibus to transport the children to Skegness and back each week. The Derby Telegraph is running a campaign to help the centre raise the money and this was launched in the paper during the week beginning April 22 and the trustees are hoping to be able to buy a new minibus in June. Please give generously to this fantastic charity so that it continues its great work. Any money raised over the £30,000 will be used for the general running of the centre.

About the charity

DCHC gives 660 residential holidays a year to children from Derby and Derbyshire having difficulty in daily life. Nominated children come from homes where the impact of financial hardship, deprivation or abuse has created a situation where stress is common and there are few comforts.
