Story
This year I am running Berlin Marathon for Thames Hospicecare. This will be my first marathon and based on the training so far, probably my last! I’m hoping to get round in under 4 hours…..
Thames Hospicecare are an independent charity responsible for running two hospices based in Ascot and Windsor. The hospices provide free care for patients with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses. They are particularly important to me as they looked after my dad in April 2010 before he sadly lost his battle with prostate cancer. I can honestly say that they do an amazing job and make a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. They have to raise over £3m a year outside of NHS funding to run the hospices so anything you can give will really help.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
