Story
Hi, I am trying to help Oxfam raise money for their Emergency response in Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and during the majority of the year it suffers devastating tropical storms. Oxfam have been working there since 2003 where they have been and hope to continue educating, building shelters and help locals make the best out of these terrible situations which they find themselves in- more information can be found on Oxfam's website.
I will be doing a number of things over October in particular to try and raise money to help fund this project, but I'll be ending the month of Oxfam's Climate Change campaign by cycling from Edinburgh-Glasgow which is over a 60 mile ride, to top things off as it will be halloween I will be dressed in costume to highlight the issue.
Any support you could give would be great and much appreciated because climate change will especially affect countries like Haiti which already suffer from the impacts of weather. I am still deciding what I shall wear though so suggestions are welcome.
