We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Recently I signed up for the Isle of Wight Challenge in April 2016 & I whilst I've self-funded the challenge I thought it would still be a good idea to try & raise a bit of cash for a worthwhile charity.

Some of you will know that my Dad has suffered from Colitis for most of his adult life & in November 2004 underwent surgery to remove a large portion of his intestines, without a doubt it saved his life & everyday I am grateful for the work of the NHS & the QMC Nottingham. That is why I have chosen Crohn's and Colitis UK. Now is my chance to raise a few quid to help improve life for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

I will be doing plenty of training leading up to next April, be that in the form of walks with friends also signed up to the IOW Challenge, more obstacle races, duathlons, 5k ParkRun's. I will try to update you good folks as much as possible as I lead up to the biggest challenge I have ever faced.......54km walk around half of the largest island in England.........the Isle of Wight !!!
