Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

MS-UK is here to support anyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), which affects over 150,000 people in the UK. We empower people with MS to live healthier and happier lives by improving the understanding of the condition and providing support where it is needed most.

Story

Some of you will know this, and some of you will be truly shocked to hear that I have signed up to run this year's London Marathon!

I'm going to be running on behalf of a charity - the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC).  It's a charity that is very close to my heart as my Uncle (and Godfather) suffered for many years from MS, and recently passed away as a result of this truly debilitating disease.  Having seen first hand the toll that this disease puts on both the sufferers and those around them, I'd very much like to do whatever I can to help out.

The MSRC is a small and innovative charity that is highly focused on helping those that suffer from MS live their lives to the fullest - by providing unbiased (i.e. not linked to medical research funding) information, support and counseling.  They get pretty much all of their funding from sponsorship of participants in major events, and the London Marathon is by far the biggest and most important event for them each year, so it is this is the main event which provides them with the resources to help improve many, many people's lives.  With that in mind, I need to do the honour of running on their behalf justice, so please give generously!!!

The event is on Sunday April 25th, and for those in the UK you'll probably be able to see me on the tv in the pack way behind the guys in the giant Rhino suits

Thank you very much in advance

Danny
