Story
I made it!!
The race day was very hot and especially gruelling towards the end however, I finished in one piece in 4hrs 38, phew!
Thank you so so much to everyone for your support on the day and through your very kind donations!!! This was without a doubt what powered me through to that 26.2 mile finish!
My donations page is still open - my target is to reach £2k to help fund the projects Oxfam delivers in Africa and other deprived parts of the world!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

Shocking as it sounds, this April 17th I will attempt to complete the London Marathon on behalf of Oxfam.
Why???
Here are just some snippets:
2010
* Haiti - more than 2,200 latrines provided for 160,000 people after the earthquake struck in January 2010.
* Afghanistan - clean drink water and sanitation provided for more than 100,000 people.
* Gaza - damaged school buildings repaired and classrooms refurbished.
* Southern Sudan - new seeds and tools provided to help 10,000 women cope with drought.
* Honduras - 800 families helped to grow more crops so they can feed themselves and increase their incomes.
* Bolivia - helping 1,600 families to use ancient farming techniques to protect their crops from drought and floods.
* Nepal - flood and drought resilient seeds given to 638 families to help communities cope with climate change.
From HIV prevention work in Thailand to providing life-saving clean water to thousands of families in Haiti, the list goes on! With your support Oxfam really can change lives!!
Final facts:
* £5 can buy 24 buckets which can be used to keep water clean
* £10 can buy 36 textbooks giving children a brighter future.
* £50 can pay a trainee teacher's salary in Kenya.
* £250 can pay for a cow for a dairy farmer in Malawi.
* £500 could pay for the care of 10 orphans or vulnerable children.
* £1,700 can pay for a whole classroom.
...So for that, what’s a little 26.2 miles of pain?! ;)
