In the last two years clients living at Stonham’s supported housing service in Lowestoft with the support of staff have organised & taken part in sponsored walks to raise funds for two charities; the local Salvation Army & the Mental Health Foundation, in total raising in excess of £600!

For 2010 clients have decided to step-up their challenge and to raise even more funds for the charity of their choosing. The challenge they have chosen is to walk ‘Hadrian’s Wall’, this will involve walking a considerable distance each day for five days carrying all camping kit and supplies, quite a feat!

In order that this charity fundraising challenge can happen we need to raise funds to facilitate the challenge activity, clients & staff will be organising a number of mini event to raise funds to facilitate the charity challenge during August this year 2010.

Darren France (Senior Service Manager) for Stonham has committed himself to running a local marathon! (Bungay-Marathon) to raise funds to support the group of clients in organising their big charity challenge. We would be most grateful if you would sponsor him in this endeavour and support clients in this brave & worthwhile activity.
