Story

I would like to dedicate this page to my sister Emma who sadly lost her four year fight against Cancer last year. Over the course of her continued treatment in Bristol we had the use of a CLIC house a short distance from the hospital. The CLIC house could house a number of families with all the necessary amenities. This meant that Emma could go into the hospital for her treatment and was then able to return to a more homely environment with her family. This was of enormous benefit at such a traumatic time and would help in keeping Emma's general morale on a high. The charity also funded a number of weekend excursions that Emma enjoyed immensely. I believe that the CLIC charity to be a very worthy cause and would like to raise as much money as possible to go towards other CLIC schemes nationwide for other families in similar circumstances.

Many thanks for your support.

Each day in the UK five families are told their child has cancer or leukaemia. From that moment on their lives will never be the same again. Most children will survive, some will die, but the scars on every family will remain. CLIC's role is to try and help these children and their families cope and keep life as normal as possible. It offers an all-embracing approach including practical hands-on care, clinical services, financial and emotional support. CLIC has joined together with Sargent Cancer Care for Children to become the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity.
