In October 2024 i will be cycling 474 kilometers across six days, from Nyeri at the foothills of Mount Kenya to Lake Victoria

Transaid transforms lives through access to healthcare safe available and sustainable transport. We work in two core areas, providing health care and saving babies lives providing local transport and critical clinical care along side  road safety to solve two of the biggest health and transport challenges in sub-Saharan Africa.

Supporting my ride will enable Transaid to:

Empower more women, children and men in rural communities to transform their own lives through access to vital services when they are most needed, such as healthcare, and meet the global goal to end the epidemic of malaria by 2030.

Transaid have helped to support over the years and asked to provide technical support to the MANI project (Maternal and Newborn Health Improvement project in Bungoma County, Kenya) to assess transport barriers to maternal health services as well as design an appropriate referral system to facilitate the transfer of pregnant women from their homes to health facilities. The MANI project is being delivered by a consortium of organisations and other partners including: Marie Stopes International, Options Consultancy Services, AMREF, CARE, the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Research, KPMG IDAS, MannionDaniels, and the Population Council.

My wife is a Midwife with the NHS and we get this service for free, it should not be a privilege or a lucky chance to have this service but a given right and trans aid help to support this, the fundraising for this charity is so important to the people of Africa so help me help them and sponsor the cause in as little or as large amount as possible every little helps.

Also Continue working with drivers, trainers, governments and institutions to improve road safety, and meet the global goal to halve the number of deaths from road traffic crashes by 2030
